From February 6 to 22, 2026, the peaks of Livigno will transform into the official stage for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. This historic event, featuring the awarding of 26 gold medals, solidifies "Little Tibet" as the undisputed world capital of winter sports. For visitors and athletes alike, it is a landmark moment that places our resort at the very heart of the international sporting map.
The world’s elite athletes will face off at our two premier competition venues: the Livigno Snow Park and the Livigno Aerials & Moguls Park. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to immerse yourself in the Olympic spirit while exploring a cutting-edge ski area. Experience the Olympics on the slopes: in Livigno, the skiing never stops! During the Games, the Ski Area remains 95% open, with all 31 lifts operational for the entire season (weather permitting). Specifically, only the Mottolino gondola (no. 3) and Carosello 3000 (no. 11/12), which serve as access routes to the Olympic competition fields, will be open to all guests exclusively for the ascent. These facilities will be shared with the athletes: a unique opportunity to reach the peaks alongside the stars of the Games and ski just a step away from history, while respecting the priority and safety regulations established for the event. To ensure the highest security standards at all checkpoints, we strongly recommend avoiding backpacks and bags.
The entire resort remains at your disposal, and the pleasure of skiing and high-altitude breaks is fully guaranteed: mountain huts and restaurants will remain open as usual outside the technical zones. While the champions compete for the podium, you can continue to enjoy the vast majority of the Ski Area and all high-altitude services, with the certainty of finding perfectly groomed slopes and active connections between every run. With your Livigno Skipassion pass, the full quality of our resort is preserved, ensuring your winter holiday is as spectacular as the competitions themselves.
Small variations, great emotions. To host the Olympic competitions, only a few select tracks will be reserved for the athletes. On the Mottolino side, slope no. 3 (from Jan 7) and slope no. 5 (from Jan 25) will be dedicated to the races until February 22; however, access to the valley is always guaranteed via the Giorgio Rocca slope, and the Trepalle side will remain entirely open. On the Carosello 3000 side, only the lower sections of the Zuelli (Jan 7 – Feb 22) and Centrale (Feb 1 – Feb 15) runs will be affected. The return to the village will remain active and end in the San Rocco area.
